Clarification on eBooks

A couple of people have said that they downloaded the eBook and "it didn't work." It turns out that they were trying to use the eBook with an app or program other than the one it was designed for:

Kindle eBook: Must be read with the Kindle app, a free download for any computer, smartphone or tablet (click here).
Kobo eBook: Must be read with the Kobo app, another free download usable on most devices (click here).
iTunes eBook: Must be read with the iBook app on an iPad, iPhone, iPod or Mac computer only (app comes with the device).

The reasoning behind this is called "Digital Rights Management" (DRM), which means these companies reserve the right to know where their products are being used, so you have to use their app. When the app is free, and the book only $2.99, it seems a reasonable request. Let me know if I can help.

Give the Kindle Version as a Gift

Perhaps you want your summer staff to read The Christian Camp Leader as an eBook, but there is a problem:

Your staff do not own an e-reader. The book can be read on any computer, tablet, iPod or smartphone! They just download Kindle or Kobo or iBook app to their device (click on these words for more info on each).

You don't want them to pay for the book themselves, or they have no credit card. You can buy the book for your staff as a gift! Click here, and then click on the "Give as a Gift" button on the right. All you need is their email address.

They prefer to read the paper version. Understandable, and the paperback is available. But they probably have just never tried reading a book electronically. They can adjust the text to any size, and it is no strain on the eyes to read these short chapters.

The paperback edition of The Christian Camp Leader is now available at Amazon's Canadian website (click here), which means that if you order four or more books you qualify for free shipping!

The site may indicate limited numbers of the book in stock, but there is no shortage of books available to Amazon. Your order might just take a little longer.

Now Available on iTunes

The Christian Camp Leader is now available on iTunes for $2.99.

Books on iTunes can only be viewed with iBooks on Apple iOS devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad), but the platform has a very clean look for those who have them.

Pull out that iTunes Gift Card you got for Christmas and download a good read for your summer of camp ministry!
