Welcome, CCI Canada Camp Leadership Institute Participants!

If you are attending the CCI Canada Camp Leadership Institute this week, you will receive a complimentary copy of The Christian Camp Leader.

As you review this resource, I would be glad to hear from you! Perhaps you would like to order a number of copies for your summer staff in the new year, and I can discuss with you discount prices that include shipping. You might have questions about how to "gift" the eBook version to your summer staff. Or, we could discuss ways of helping your staff interact with the book online or as part of a summer training program. I am glad to help!

All proceeds from this book are poured back into Christian camping. It may be to provide books to camps that can't afford them, or to fund translation efforts. We hope to also make funds available to specific camper scholarships and camp projects.

May your time together as camp leaders be the encouragement and motivation you need as you anticipate diving into a whole new season of camping!

Preview the First Revision!

The first revision of The Christian Camp Leader can be previewed by clicking here and then on the "Look Inside" cover image. No big changes - a few typos fixed, a few lines reworded. Plus some generous endorsements by a few encouraging leaders in the world of Christian camping. All of this is preparation for a new season of training camp leaders, debuted at the upcoming CCCA National Conference, December 9-12.

Clarification on eBooks

A couple of people have said that they downloaded the eBook and "it didn't work." It turns out that they were trying to use the eBook with an app or program other than the one it was designed for:
  • Kindle eBook: Must be read with the Kindle app, a free download for any computer, smartphone or tablet (click here).
  • Kobo eBook: Must be read with the Kobo app, another free download usable on most devices (click here).
  • iTunes eBook: Must be read with the iBook app on an iPad, iPhone, iPod or Mac computer only (app comes with the device).
The reasoning behind this is called "Digital Rights Management" (DRM), which means these companies reserve the right to know where their products are being used, so you have to use their app. When the app is free, and the book only $2.99, it seems a reasonable request. Let me know if I can help.
